Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for many graduate schools primarily in the United States and Canada. Administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), the GRE aims to measure verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing skills that are not related to any specific field of study. The test consists of three main sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. The GRE is designed to provide a common measure for comparing the qualifications of applicants and is often used in conjunction with other criteria such as undergraduate GPA, letters of recommendation, and personal statements to assess a candidate’s readiness for graduate-level work.
